Mt. Zion High Students Take RunnerUp Trophy at Region Literary

Seven students from MZHS attended the Area 4 Literary Competition in Milledgeville on Thursday, March 3, 2016. All seven competitors placed in his or her event giving MZ the points needed to bring home the RunnerUp trophy. Participants included: Ashley Hurston, 2nd place Girl's Solo; Cortez Willis, 2nd place Boy's Solo; Brooke Brown, Yennifer Perez and Ashley Hurston, 2n place Trio; Brittany Shaddix, 4th place Rhetorical Essay; Dae Ragland, 2nd place Personal Essay; and Alec Ashmore, 1st place Argumentative Essay. Alec won State in Essay last year and will travel to Wesleyan College this weekend to defend his state title.
