Villa Rica High School Students Attend FGE Day

Villa Rica High School members of Future Georgia Educators (FGE) attended "FGE Day" held at Berry College on February 4, 2016. The colleges of education at Berry teamed up with PAGE to plan an exciting day of professional learning, networking, and college visitation for students who may be considering a career in education.

The event included a keynote address from the 2016 Georgia Teacher of the Year, Ernie Lee. Participants attended workshops on Special Education and Literacy and met with admissions representatives from Berry College. Students participated in a college fair with colleges of education from around the state.

Members also competed in two competitive events, The FGE T­Shirt Competition and the PAGE Code of Ethics Knowledge Bowl, where they placed second and third respectively.
