Central High School Students Advance to State Level Interviews with GHP

Central High School is sending seven (7) students to statelevel interviews for the Governor’s Honors Program this year. Advancing to the state level are Carolina Butler in Communication Arts, Victoria Richardson and Sarah Davis in Agriculture, Tyra Babbs in Music, Ashley Henderson in Visual Arts, Lindsay Koziel in Social Studies and Anna Handley in Spanish.

Principal Jared Griffis commented, “Most high schools are lucky to send 2 or 3 students to state level interviews. To have seven (7) students advancing speaks volumes about the dedication and commitment of our students and teachers. Central High School’s focus on teaching and learning has given our students the knowledge they need to be successful both inside and outside the classroom.” Governor’s Honor Program interviews conclude in early February with participants receiving invitation to attend the summer in March.
