Villa Rica High Students Advance to State Level Interviews with GHP

Two Villa Rica High School students will be participating in state level interviews at the Governor's Honors Program. Rachael Attaway advanced in Science and Tristan Porter advanced in Social Studies. GHP statelevel interviews will take place at Luella High School on Saturday, February 13th, 2016.

When asked about the GHP experience so far, Rachael Attaway commented, "I am so excited to be nominated for Governor's Honors Program. I appreciate all my teachers for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to explore a subject I enjoy. I am thrilled about the new friends I will make if I am able to go to Valdosta, GA over the summer. This whole process has been amazing." Tristan Porter stated, "I'd like to thank Mrs. Kruger for nominating me in Social Studies, Mrs. Newell for guiding me through the selection process, and everyone else who has helped me get this far. I'm always looking for opportunities to support my community and am confident GHP will provide me with skills that will allow me to more effectively help others."
