Central High School Coach Named 2016 5AAA Athletic Director of the Year

Central High School Head Baseball Coach Wes Shiver has been named the 2016 Region 5AAA Athletic Director of the Year. Coach Shiver is in his 5th year as a Central High School physical education teacher and baseball coach. Under his leadership the baseball team went to the playoffs three out of four years, has been to the Sweet 16 twice and the Elite 8 once. Central High School Principal Mr. Jared Griffis said, “The Central Lion family is lucky to have a teacher and man like Wes Shiver working with our students. Wes certainly deserves this great honor.” Wes Shiver has been the Athletic Director for the past three years. He is married and has two daughters.
