Mrs. Stacey Orr, a Sand Hill Elementary parent, was awarded the Georgia Parent Leadership Award. The Georgia Parent Leadership Awards are annual awards that recognize parents for their outstanding leadership in creating a foundation of support for student achievement and success. Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Parent Teacher Association created the Parent Leadership award to recognize parents across Georgia who utilize their various skills and talents to strengthen our schools and positively impact the lives of our children.

Sand Hill Elementary nominated Stacey Orr for her outstanding work at SHES. She has served as a past PTO president and on the school leadership team. She currently serves on the SHE School Advisory Council. While Mrs. Orr was PTO president, Sand Hill recorded its highest number of adult volunteer hours in school history.
