12 for Life hosted the Northwest Region Work-Based Learning meeting on Thursday, September 10. Approximately 90 educators attended the meeting to learn about the partnership between Southwire and Carroll County Schools. 12 for Life students led the guests on a tour that included rotations through the classrooms and work facility, and instructors shared how life skills, financial literacy, manufacturing, and STEM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, and math) enhances the work program. Dwayne Hobbs, Georgia Department of Education Program Manager, also presented updates to the group.
