Carroll County Schools Hosts First Annual Technology Summit

On June 8th, 2015, Carroll County Schools hosted its First Annual Technology Summit. Keynote speaker and Science Content Specialist from Coweta County Schools, Dr. Donald White, delivered an inspirational message that highlighted the importance of teacher leaders leveraging the use of technology to transform classrooms and promote student success.

The following teacher leaders from Carroll County Schools presented a variety of innovative ways to utilize technology in the classroom to support student learning: Lynda Bingham, Brandi Goldin, Tiffany Harrell, Heather Morse, Amber Mullis, Robyn Porter, Diane Trantham and Wade Traylor. Topics ranged from QR Codes, increasing student engagement through student blogging, website creation and virtual classrooms.

The success of the conference and interest in improving the use of technology to promote student learning have already resulted in planning for the second Annual Technology Summit in 2016.
