Alec Ashmore, a junior at Mt. Zion High school, took first place in Boys Essay at the Class A State Literary Competition in Warner Robbins on March 14 th .

Alec is the son of Chris Ashmore of Waco. Alec plans to attend UCLA in Berkley, California, where he will study biochemistry.
