Central Lion Wrestler Dawson Hunt State Runner Up

Central High School sophomore Dawson Hunt competed for the state AAA Wrestling Championship at the state meet on February 15. Dawson reached the state finals by beating seasoned wrestlers from around the state. In the finals Dawson competed strongly and came away with the runner-up spot in the 126 weight category.

“We are so proud of Dawson. He wrestled with total abandonment and performed well above his experience level in the state tournament,” stated his coach, Jeremiah Fountain. He continued, “Dawson wrestled like a champ; I can’t wait to see what he does next season.” The Central Lion wrestling team is coached by Mr. Jeremiah Fountain.
