Apple Award Winner For Transportation Employee of the Month

Carroll County Schools recognized its February 2015 Apple Award Winner at the board meeting on February 12, 2015. Receiving the award for Transportation Employee of the Month was Mrs. Kimberly Dawn Corbitt, Transportation Cluster Supervisor. Mrs. Corbitt’s colleagues stated that she helps to provide transportation needs for all students from all corners of our county. She understands the importance of getting the students to their destination in a timely and safe manner. Her warm personality and caring disposition is said to be welcoming on a daily basis.

Even when the challenges are great, she meets every request with a positive response. She coordinates many school trips and her approach and goal to every request is "we will make it work".

Without Ms. Corbitt's dedication and willingness to always help enables programs like 12 for Life would not be able to run efficiently. She plays a vital role in the success of the transportation department. Mrs. Corbitt was honored with the system Apple Award plaque, a goody bag and a plant from Mountain Oak Florist, a business partner for Carroll County Schools.
