Temple High School Athletic Program Hosts Law Enforcement Meeting

Temple High School recently hosted the Western Region Traffic Enforcement Network which is a division of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The Temple High School Athletic Program sponsored a spaghetti dinner which was served by the THS cheerleaders for the law enforcement group of over 35 officers in the high school cafeteria.

The Western Region Network is made up of sworn law enforcement officers and prosecutors, and serves as one of sixteen regional traffic enforcement networks in Georgia. Members of the group included various city police and sheriff’s department officers, Georgia State Patrol Officers, detectives, and others from across the western region which includes Meriwether, Heard, Haralson, Carroll, Troup, Douglas, Coweta, and Paulding Counties. The Network is designed to enhance traffic enforcement activities through networking, training, and legislation. Sergeant David Martin, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, serves as the Coordinator, and Sergeant Jim Hollowood, Temple City Police Department, serves as the Assistant Coordinator for the Western Region.
