Central High School Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Ten Central High School student-athletes signed letters of intent to play on the collegiate level next year on National Signing Day. “This has been a banner year for our students and athletic programs. Central High School has had 13 students receive scholarships to play collegiate sports,” said Principal Mr. Jared Griffis. “We are extremely proud of our student athletes and the dedication they bring to both the field and classroom,” stated Athletic Director Wes Shiver.

Playing football next year at the collegiate level will be Jaylen Terry for Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama; Jarred Walker for Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina; Chris Thornton for Albany State University in Albany, Georgia; Kirey Thompson for Clark Atlanta College in Atlanta, Georgia, and Cole Glommen for Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia.

Playing baseball next year will be Will Sheffield for Southern Union College in Wadley, Alabama; Matt Harman for Darton State College in Albany, Georgia; Jacob Lane and Brandon Justice for Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia.

Playing softball next year will be Jordyn Scott for the Golden Knights of West Central Technical College in Carrollton, Georgia.
