2015 Carroll County Schools Spelling Bee

The Carroll County Schools and Carroll County Association of Educators presented the 2015 Spelling Bee on January 30, 2015 at the Carroll County Board of Education J.M. Gammon Board Room. Eighteen students from Carroll County elementary and middle schools participated in this event. Emily Hummer, an eighth grade student from Temple Middle School, took home first place in the spelling bee by correctly spelling the word “agitate”. Harrison Rogers, a seventh grade student from Bowdon Middle School, finished with the second place title. By winning first place in the County Spelling Bee, Emily is eligible to compete in the District 5 Spelling Bee. The 2015 District Spelling Bee for District 5 will be held on February 28, 2015, at Sequoyah Middle School in Riverdale, Georgia.
