Bowdon FFA Member Wins Tractor Operations Career Development Event

Bowdon FFA student Colt Crews recently won first place in the Area I FFA Agriculture Tractor and Machinery Operations and Maintenance Career Development Event. Twenty-five participants from North West Georgia were required to demonstrate the skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate a tractor. Competitors also were required to perform a maintenance exam and problem solving activity.

FFA is a national organization of over 449,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. FFA is an integral part of the agricultural education program in public schools. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Ryan Ayers is Bowdon High School FFA advisor. The Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Event is sponsored by the Georgia Development Authority as a special project of the Georgia FFA Foundation.
