The Central Middle School’s Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams finished strong at the West Georgia Area Middle School Championships on October 9, 2014. The Lady Lions finished second, with Summer Ligon winning the girls race. Abby Cook, Heidi Anderson, Haley Thompson, Madeline Potts, Charleigh Adair, and Marie Thompson all finished in the top twenty. In the boys’ race, Nick Potts and Andrew Allums finished 1st and 2nd in the boys race. Sidney Stone also medaled, finishing 9th overall. Davis Leblanc, Jonathan Brown, Heyward Stober, Roman Vandiver, and Wesley Henderson all finished in the top 20. Both Lion teams will compete in the State Championships in Cochran, Georgia next weekend with great potential for placing among the top teams in the state.
