Carroll County Schools 2016 Teacher of the Year

Holly Pace, of Villa Rica Middle School, was named Carroll County School System Teacher of the Year at the Thursday, October 16, 2014 Board Meeting. Ms. Pace has been with the Carroll County School System for 6 years. Ms. Pace received her Specialist Degree in Teaching Leadership in 2013 from Piedmont College, her Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education in Science and Social Studies in 2011 from Berry College, and her Undergraduate in Middle Grades Education in Science and Social Studies from Berry College in 2009. Ms. Pace’s system Teacher of the Year application will now be sent to the State Department of Education where she will compete for the 2016 Georgia Teacher of the Year Award. The state winner will be selected next spring.

Brianna Bryant, of Villa Rica High School was named first runner-up and Cynthia Videtto, of Bowdon Middle School was named second runner-up for System Teacher of the Year.

Superintendent Scott K. Cowart said, “We are proud of all our Teachers of the Year. These educators are excellent role models, not only for our students but for our staff as well. Their continual quest for excellence enables our students to learn in premier classrooms.”
