Carroll County Schools Second Annual ESOL Parent's Math Night

The ESOL Department hosted a ESOL Parent's Math Night on September 26, 2014. Over sixty parents and students participated in the hands on learning session. Carroll County Instructional Coaches and Math Turnaround Coach informed parents about the CCGPS math curriculum for all grade levels. The meeting concluded with the Coaches and ESOL Teachers leading the parents and students in hands-on math activities that included the following: Grades K-2: Sort, Classify, and Chart; Grades 3-5: Lines of Symmetry; Grades 6-8: Pizza Pi Pieces and Parallelograms; and Grades 9-12: Bubbles as Spheres.
