Carroll County Schools recognized its September 2014 Apple Award Winner at the board meeting on September 18, 2014. Receiving the award for the Service Employee of the Month was copier technician, William “Travis” Smitherman. As stated in his nomination form, Mr. Smitherman is always prompt and efficient when repairing copiers throughout our school system. He has a wonderful attitude and is very knowledgeable about his trade. He is always courteous, smiling and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever the need arises.

In addition, School Nutrition reports that they call on Travis to repair, fix, troubleshoot, order parts, etc... and he is always determined to fix the problem and ensures they are back up and running in a timely manner. And finally, Travis does what it takes to get the job done, going the extra mile whenever and wherever needed.

Mr. Smitherman was honored with the system Apple Award plaque, a T-shirt and pizza certificate from American Pie, a business partner for Carroll County Schools. Congratulations Mr. William “Travis” Smitherman!
