Mt. Zion Elementary Teacher Wins Model Classroom Award

Mt. Zion Elementary School, 2nd grade teacher, Mary Ann Smith has been awarded the Model Classroom Award for the 201314 school year from Renaissance Learning because of her successful use of Accelerated Math. Last year 14 of her 21 students exceeded on the Math portion of the CRCT and she attributes some of their success to the consistent use of Accelerated Math. Mrs. Smith will present her story at the Renaissance Learning Georgia Mathematics Conference in Eatonton, Ga., October 16 and 17, 2014.
