Sand Hill Elementary Hosts STEM Camp

Sand Hill Elementary hosted a STEM camp the week of July 14th as part of Carroll County School System’s Summer STEM Series. At the camp ‘Discovering Forces in Motion’, students explored basic science principles of force and motion while designing and testing catapults, stomp rockets, balloon racers, and marble roller coasters. The culminating STEM challenge, which demonstrated the students’ knowledge of simple machines, had students design a Rube Goldberg machine. Students were so excited to see their inventions in action.
