Ithica Elementary School Hosts STEM Camps

Ithica Elementary School hosted three STEM camps for Carroll County Schools students during the month of June. At the “GROW” Garden Camp students had a great time working on an outdoor classroom, making bird houses, and learning about different kinds of plants. Students who participated in the “Summertastic Science” Camp designed their own toys, engineered roller coaster prototypes, created bubble solution, made homemade bubble wands, and created artificial snow. At the “Rockin' with Robots” Camp students built 12 different robots using LEGO WeDo software. Students also created their own robots. On the last day of camp students showcased their work for family and friends. Ithica's STEM camps were made possible by the financial support of the Kiwanis Club of Fairfield Plantation.
