Career Day at Sand Hill Elementary

Sand Hill Elementary School held a Career Day on May 16, 2014. This event was sponsored by the school’s PTO. The event had twenty-one speakers. The students rotated every thirty minutes to learn about the different careers. The guest speakers included: Dr. Matt McCord- Bowdon Animal Clinic, Lauren Gledhill- Midway Church, Dr. Timothy Ayers- professor at UWG, Ryan Kessinger-Carroll EMC, Robert Smith-RS Heating and Air, Denise Billingsley- Carrollton Attorney , Lisa Parker and Annah Griffin, Carrollton Academy of Dance, Stephanie Klipfel- Meteorologist, Starlyn Baxter – Associated Credit Union, Derrick Witherspoon- retired Eagles pro football- Todd Rogers – chef, Sgt. Collin Cook, Officer Lewis- VRPD, Dawn Bumgardner – ICU nurse, Senator Mike Dugan, Amberly Nalley- West Ga. Gymnastics, Lorna – Moes Southwest Grill, Amanda Weathers – Douglas Co. 911, Kimberly Gentry, and Scott Cowart- Superintendent of Carroll County Schools.
