Carroll County Schools recognized its May 2014 Apple Award Winner at the board meeting on May 15, 2014. Receiving the award for Teacher Employee of the Month was Ms. Alecia P. Moore, Special Ed. PALS Teacher at Central Elementary School. Ms. Moore was nominated by several of her colleagues stating that she gives so much of her heart, time and gifts to the children in our school system without complaining or asking anything in return. Her fellow teachers stated they've witnessed many parents over the years thanking Ms. Moore for working consistently with their children and due to her dedication and hard work, the progress in their children is astounding. She consistently smiles and is always ready to work with students while rarely asking for help even when she has a large caseload.

Ms. Moore goes above and beyond to make sure student's needs are met and cares for each student, dedicating herself to making sure they all reach their full potential.

Ms. Moore was honored with the system Apple Award plaque, a goody bag and a plant from Mountain Oak Florist, a business partner for Carroll County Schools.
