CTI State Leadership Conference

Four students from the College and Career Academy participated in the Career and Technical Instruction State Leadership Conference at Rock Eagle April 24-26, 2014. The Leadership Conference provides an opportunity for students to compete statewide with other CTI students in Georgia. The conference also provides opportunities for cultural growth and development. It is designed to improve student's confidence level and sense of worth.

Activities provided at the convention include leadership skills, and competitive events. Students were chosen by CTI Coordinators based on their success in their technical classes, behavior and attendance. The CTI Coordinators for Carroll County Schools are Loretta Spear and Debra Powell.

Three of the students placed in the statewide competition. Those students were Lacontis Germany, 1st Place in Level 2 Culinary Arts; Mikaila Kafides, 1st Place in Level 2 Clinical Skills; and Josh Wikle, 2nd Place in Video Production.
