Carroll County Beef Industry Scholarship Challenge Winners

The Beef Industry Scholarship Challenge was held at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on March 7 and 8. Five senior teams and one junior team competed for scholarships. The teams competed at 10 stations that tested their beef industry knowledge.


Logan Steed, senior at Central High School; Lucas Brock and Stewart Teal, seniors at Bowdon High School and Coach Ryan Ayers of the Carroll County FFA were the Senior Team winners. The Carroll County FFA were Station winners in Credit and Finance, Marketing, Meat Identification, Nutrition and Reproduction.


The Beef Industry Scholarship Challenge is an annual contest where up to $10,000 in scholarships
are given to GCA juniors and seniors from surrounding states. The goal of the event is to help prepare
them for college in addition to testing them on their knowledge of the beef industry.
