Apple Award Winner For Food Service Employee of the Month

Carroll County Schools recognized its March 2014 Apple Award Winner at the board meeting on March 20, 2014. Receiving the award for Food Service Employee of the Month was Ms. Kathy D. Pritchett, Food Service Manager at Villa Rica Elementary School. Ms. Pritchett’s nominations state that she is more than just a lunchroom manager, she is a problem-solver, caring and a motherly figure to all the students. It is stated that every lunch at VRE is like a dinner at home with family because of her love. She loves and believes in all the students and treats them as if they were her own.

On a personal note, Ms. Pritchett was recently diagnosed with cancer and went through several weeks of chemo treatments, yet stood strong never skipping a beat with a positive attitude through it all. She is an extraordinary person, a model of courage and faith to all the students and faculty at VRES.

Ms. Pritchett was honored with the system Apple Award plaque, a goody bag and a plant from Mountain Oak Florist, a business partner for Carroll County Schools.
