Two Carroll County Teachers Awarded the 2014 Alice Huffard Richards Teacher Leader Award

Heather Morse, teacher from Mt. Zion Middle School, and Stephen Mitchell, teacher from Bowdon High School, were awarded the 2014 Alice Huffard Richards Teacher Leader Award. The Fellowship honors Alice Huffard Richards and supports professional and civic leadership development among local teachers. The award is awarded to enhance teaching excellence and overall leadership capacity within local schools and community.


The $5000 award is to be used for continuing education via academic institutions, professional conferences, collaborative efforts, associations or memberships, specified travel and/or immersion activities tied to leadership development goals and similar endeavors.
