Central High School HOSA Students Win Big at State

Central High School Health Occupations students participated in state competition last week. Students earning top honors were: William Meade for 1st place in EMT, Kelly Caviness placed 1st in Medical Reading, the team of Ciera Lewis, Brooke Carroll, Haley Bayne and Silvey Rosser placed 2nd in Public Health, John Williams and Ethan Milam teamed up in Healthcare Current Issues placing in the top 51 out of more than 1,200 groups testing, and Jamielee Korolovich placed 2nd in Medical Spelling. Health Occupations students are part of the College and Career Academy certification program and are instructed by Mr. Chris Smith. These students will travel to Orlando to compete on a national level in July.
