Villa Rica High School Student Signs With Southern Union State Community College

Villa Rica High School Student, Mikey Palagano, has signed a Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career with Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Alabama. For Palagano, this continuation of his career is just another step in his baseball journey which began as a young five year-old on the t-ball fields and progressed throughout little league baseball where he was named “Best Pitcher” in the nine and ten year old league and eventually to his eighth grade year where his family made the move to Villa Rica, which Mikey calls “one of the best decisions made in my life”, and where he found inspiration and guidance in Coach Jeremy Parker. During his remaining years in recreational baseball, Mikey learned as much as he could about various positions, including shortstop and the outfield, and in his freshman year he was named to the junior varsity team. Being guided by Coaches Sneddon, Best, Kegley, Waters, Arp, White and Jones during his career at Villa Rica High School, Palagano learned about hard work and dedication, being rewarded his sophomore year by being named the Times-Georgian Newcomer of the Year while also being named to the outfield of the All-Region team and then First Team Times-Georgian All-Area team his junior year.
