Carroll County Student Receives Lions Club Eye Glass Scholarship

In conjunction with the Villa Rica Men’s Lion’s Club and WalMart Vision Center, Daniel Bowles a second grader at Villa Rica Elementary School was the first recipient of the “Lion’s Club Eye Glass Scholarship.” The program was started in the fall of 2013 when the Villa Rica Men’s Lion’s Club decided to use the funds they raise from the “Taste of Villa Rica” to help students in the area obtain eye glasses. This is the first of hopefully, many pairs of glasses that will be provided for students in the Villa Rica Area. The “Lion’s Club Eye Glass Scholarship” works in conjunction with the Carroll County Vision Department to determine students who are in need of eye exams and eye glasses.
