Temple High School Student Signs with LSU

Temple High School senior, Myia Hambrick, has signed a Letter of Intent to continue her gymnastics career with Louisiana State University (LSU). Myia has multiple accomplishments in gymnastics during the last four years, and maintains an impressive resume’ with a grade point average of 4.07. Currently, she is a member of West Georgia Gymnastics Center, owned and operated by Amberly Nalley, in Villa Rica where she is coached by Laurie Hambrick, her mother, and Jamie McCauley. Myia participated in the state gymnastics competition and was the Level 10 All-Around State Champion. Myia also competed in the Level 10 Junior Olympic National Championships in Minneapolis, MN. She placed 1st on the floor event with a score of 9.675. She finished as the All-Around Runner Up missing the top spot by only 0.025 of a point. She will be a member of the 2013 Junior Olympic National Team and was invited to train in Texas this fall at the US National Facility.
