Bowdon High School FBLA Raises Money for March of Dimes

This semester, the Bowdon High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) have been raising money and awareness to benefit the March of Dimes. In an effort to kick-start the festivities, Carla Starling of the March of Dimes spoke at the club’s September meeting. Throughout September and October third period classes around the school collected “Change for Babies”. The classroom that raised the most money won a pizza party. During the month of November, the FBLA celebrated Premature Awareness Day by wearing purple, and some members attended the March of Dimes Nightwalk through the Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens. As the campaign dwindles down, there are plans to host a March of Dimes Cupcake Walk and an opportunity for teachers to participate in “Blue Jeans for Babies”. Pictured are students from Bowdon High enjoying the Nightwalk through the Festival of Lights on November 17, 2013.
