Villa Rica High School Student Signs With Georgia Tech

VRHS student Wade Bailey has signed a Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career with Georgia Tech. Bailey has made quite a name for himself, both at Villa Rica High School and with his East Cobb traveling teams. While with the East Cobb Astros 15U and 16U, Bailey received a Perfect Game MVP (15U) and the East Cobb MVP (15U) and was a member of two national championship teams each with 15U and 16U. He then followed that up with the East Cobb Yankees 18U where he was a member of the Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) National Championship team and the Connie Mack World Series Championship team where he was named the Connie Mack MVP in Game 3. Bailey’s resume as a Wildcat has been just as impressive, beginning with his freshman year where he was not only named New Comer of the Year, but he was also the Varsity MVP. He followed that up with another Varsity MVP award his sophomore year, he was also named a Max Prep All American and the Times-Georgian MVP. In his junior year he was named the Varsity Offensive Player of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, and once again named a Max Prep All American. Expectations are high as he enters his senior year, as he has already been named First Team All Region and an Under Armour Pre-season All American.
