Carroll County Schools Share District Annual Report Information

At the October 14, 2013 Board Planning Advance Superintendent Scott Cowart presented board members with the 2012-2013 district Annual Report of progress. This Annual Report provides the board of education and stakeholders with information on what Carroll County schools are doing well and what areas need improvement.

In addition to the district Annual Report each of the five Carroll County cluster service areas presented an Annual Report for their community stakeholders during the last month. This is the third year schools in Carroll County have presented Annual Reports to their cluster stakeholders. These progress reports provide community stakeholders an opportunity to hear from the principals of their schools concerning their progress in the recently completed academic year and opportunities they face moving forward. Each Annual Report highlights progress towards the district’s four strategic goal areas:

Student Achievement
Stakeholder Engagement & Loyalty
Efficient and Effective Organizational Processes
Continuous System & School Improvement

Stakeholders attending the annual report events received an annual report document that contained information and highlights from 2012-13. A major part of each Annual Report is the balanced scorecard. Each school in Carroll County has balanced scorecard that goes beyond what the state and federal government require in the way of accountability. These locally developed balanced scorecards serve to help Carroll County Schools measure progress in a transparent format.
