Carroll County Schools to Celebrate National School Lunch Week October 14-18

Carroll County Schools will be celebrating National School Lunch Week October 14-18. The National School Lunch Week (NSLW) 2014 theme is “School Lunch Across the USA.” The theme celebrates the regional flavors, ingredients, and traditions from across the country. Schools nationwide have been cooking up all sorts of exciting programs and plans, and by participating in National School Lunch Week, Carroll County Schools intend to showcase their accomplishments and educate students and the community about the importance of healthy school lunches.

Guests from local communities, such as law enforcement, firemen, mayors, and board members, will be partnering up with area school nutrition programs to help prepare and serve the students and guests. Parents are invited to come and have lunch with your student. Please let your student’s teacher know ahead of time or phone the cafeteria manager if you plan to attend.
