Temple Middle School Receives A Day Made Better Award

On October 1, 2013, Mrs. Arletta Lancaster, Temple Middle School teacher, received the OfficeMax - A Day Made Better award. The award included $1000 worth of classroom supplies, a desk chair, camera, and Kindle Fire. All TMS teachers were given gift bags of supplies, the school received $1200 of supplies, and the school was adopted by Office Max for ongoing supplies throughout the year.


This year marks the seventh anniversary of this event, and OfficeMax surprising more than 1,000 teachers with a new chair, loads of classrooms supplies and the recognition they so richly deserve. OfficeMax has joined with AdoptAClassroom.org to create the A Day Made Better program. The one-day event awards teachers with school supplies, and brings attention to the issue of teacher-funded classrooms. Since its inception, OfficeMax has surprised more than 6,700 teachers and donated $8.85 million in supplies to classrooms across the country.
