Georgia School Bus Safety Poster Contest Winners

The National Association for Pupil Transportation sponsors the Georgia School Bus Safety Poster Contest. The purpose of the contest is to motivate students to understand school bus safety using the creative art talent of students. The 2013 poster contest theme is “At My Stop – You Stop!”. This project, supported by the Georgia Department of Education, helps students learn about school bus safety and reminds motorists of the important role they play in obeying the law, in stopping for Georgia’s school buses and protecting students as they board and exit. Director of Transportation, Jackie Coffee stated, “As drivers, we have a responsibility to students everywhere to know and obey the school bus laws”.

Congratulations Lily Wood, student at Bay Springs Middle School, and Mrs. Georgia D. Stobaugh, teacher at Bay Springs Middle School, for being the 2013 Georgia School Bus Safety Poster Contest third place winner within Carroll County Schools division. Each Division winner has been submitted to the NAPT National School Bus Safety Poster Contest. NAPT will announce the winners for the national competition during their conference at the end of October.
