Ithica Elementary School Participates In UWG Teacher Quality

Ithica Elementary School is participating in a professional development initiative funded by a Teacher Quality grant. The initiative is a collaboration between the University of West Georgia's College of Education, Learning and Teaching Department, Georgia State University's Department of Mathematics and Statistics and Atlanta Public Schools (APS). Facilitators from Continental Colony in APS and Ithica Elementary school in Carroll County supported the professional development activities. These facilitators had participated in the professional development activities during the 2012-2013 school year. Teachers and facilitators spent the week of July 22nd at Peyton Forest Elementary school in APS participating in an intensive professional development experience focused on the development of number sense in elementary students.
