First Day Of The Carroll County
2013-14 School Year

(Carrollton, Ga. - August 8, 2013) The Carroll County School District welcomed more than
14,000 students back to school on Thursday, August 8, 2013.

“The first day of school is always exciting for all of us in the Carroll County School District,” said
Superintendent Scott K. Cowart. “We look forward to focusing our efforts on helping our
children learn, encouraging them to achieve their dreams, and ultimately preparing them to
earn their diplomas and move on to postsecondary opportunities and highly-skilled careers.
We know this is a great responsibility, but it is one we gladly accept. We look forward to
another great year of teaching and learning in our classrooms.”

Students and their parents can find information about school registration, transportation,
